On February 22 the University started a spring series of Open Days.
In the meeting hall of the University guests were greeted by First Vice-Rector, Prof. Biliakovych M.O.,Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Prof. Hryshchuk O.K., Dean of the Faculty of Transport Construction, Prof.Slavinska O. S., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Law, Prof. Bondar N. M., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Tsiuman M. P. , Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Information Technologies, Prof. Danchuk V. D., Dean of the Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism, Prof. Bakulich O.O., Admissions Committee Secretary, Prof. Filipova H.A, as well as Deputy Deans, Department Heads and teachers.
The meeting was opened by Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Prof. Hryshchuk O.K. who introduced the university staff to the guests. First Vice-Rector, Prof. Biliakovych M.O. spoke about a rich history and a bright present of the university. Professor Filipova H.A. focused on the details of the entrance campaign in 2020.
After that the guests had a chance to talk to the Deans and teachers who told them about university majors and curricula. Then the Department representatives organized excursions to the classrooms, labs and ICT rooms.
The stands of the Department of Motor Vehicles training and research laboratories arouse intense interest among those who are interested in automobiles as these test stands are unique because they have been created by Department staff and students.
For example, this stand is to do research on the interaction between a wheel and a bearing surface area.
And this is a hybrid all-wheel steering car designed by the Department of Motor Vehicles researchers on the basis of DANA ZAZ-1105 cars. It is used to conduct experiments and hold laboratory practicals.
The excursion is over but there are a lot of interesting things in the Department of Motor Vehicles that arouse guests’ interest.
The Department of Road Building Machines is putting the most modern road building machines on display in NTU Zeppelin-Caterpillar Training and Research Centre.
The Dean and the Department Heads of the Faculty of Transport and Information Technologies had a lively discussion with our future students in the specialized lab created to research navigation and communication geo information systems.
