Debut concert-contest of the Faculty of Transport Construction
On October 24, 2018 the gala hall of National Transport University hosted a Debut concert-contest of the Faculty of Transport Construction.
The concert was devoted to a professional holiday of road builders. Olena Bodnar (Gs-III-2 group) and Oleksandr Seleschuk( OM-III-1 group) were the hosts of the concert
The concert kept the spectators hooked till the very last minute. Every performance was full of passion and talent. There were 14 concert performances that fully reflected the theme of the holiday.
Semenkova Kateryna, Fomenko Halyna (GS-II-1) and a professional singer Kateryna Marchenko opened the concert with a song March of Road builders authored by Prof. O. A. Biliatynskyi. Although the song was not included into the contest program, it received Grand Prix.
Apart from the song, the spectators were also greeted by compelling folk dances. Oleksandr Stremennyi (BI-I-2 group), Tetiana Brynza (BI-I-2) and Anastasiia Shpak(GS-III-1) impressed the guests by Ukrainian folk dances.
Gold band, led by Sofiia Makabula, performed an inspiring hip hop and jazz funk dance.
The students of GS-III-1,2 groups told the audience about difficult students’ dormitory life in their musical miniature. Young performers also paid attention to the problems related to road congestion and public transport in Kyiv.
Sofiia Makabula (TK-III-1 group) demonstrated the audience what students do while having a rest during the breaks in her vogue and jazz funk dance.
Audience Choice Award went to Bohdan Tukhto (BI-II-1), a brilliant magician engineer.
Prof. O.A. Biliatynsky’s moving poem devoted to our native university performed by Olena Bodnar (GS-III-2), caused a wave of admiration from the audience.
Anastasiia Shpak and Danylo Habriel showed romantic relations in their contemporary dance performance.
Oleksandr Stremennyi (BI-I-2 group), Tetiana Brynza (BI-I-2) and Anastasiia Shpak(GS-III-1) performed an inspiring hip hop dance.
Tetiana Brynza’s bright jazz modern caused a lot of positive emotions.
Oleksandr Stremennyi (BI-I-2 group) and Tetiana Brynza (BI-I-2) continued the concert with their rock-n-roll dance.
The contest part of the festive event was ended with a flash mob of students and spectators, as well as congratulations on the Day of Motorist and Road Builder.
At the end of the concert pupils from specialized school № 96 named after O.K.Antonov sang a patriotic song The Day around the World.
It is no secret that in order to hold this important concert in an interesting and unusual way, it was necessary to make a lot of preparations in advance. The organizers had to write a script, work with the participants, prepare concert performances and make stage scenery. Therefore, the following staff of the faculty, who made a great contribution to the success of the event, were awarded honorary diplomas: Associate Prof. of the Department of Transport Construction and Property Management Kharchenko – Anna Mykolaivna, Associate Prof. of the Department of Strength of Materials and Engineering Science – Kondriukova Iryna Oleksiivna and Associate Prof. of the Department of Road Design, Geodesy and Land Use – Dodukh Kateryna Mykhailivna.
All participants and guests including Yana Las’kova and Kateryna Marchenko(specialized school № 96 named after O.K.Antonov) who helped to organize this event and took part in the concert, were awarded Memorable Diplomas.
And Finally, the best concert performances were chosen and Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Prof. Hryshchuk O.K. and Dean of the Faculty of Transport Construction, Prof. Slavinska O. S. were invited to announce the results.
Gold band, led by Sofiia Makabula won a bronze medal.
Oleksandr Stremennyi, Tetiana Brynza and Anastasiia Shpak with their Ukrainian dance won a silver medal.

Anastasiia Shpak(GS-III-1) was elected as ‘Miss of the Faculty of Transport Construction’. Oleksandr Stremennyi(BI-I-2)was elected as ‘Mister of the Faculty of Transport Construction’.
The event ended with the greetings of Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Prof. Hryshchuk O.K. and Dean of the Faculty of Transport Construction, Prof. Slavinska O. S. who thanked everybody for the great concert.
