National Olympic Committee of Ukraine announced the winners of the jubilee All-Ukrainian competition of television programmes “World of Sport” (November 15, 2019).
On the eve of the Radio Broadcasting , Television and Telecommunication Workers’ Day The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine continued the good tradition of conducting All-Ukrainian competition of television programmes “World of Sport”. This tradition was started 15 years ago.
The National University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (Irpin, Ukraine) traditionally hosted the event.
The jury, whose members were well-known workers of television and renowned Olympians and sports expert, received 52 clips and programmes from 25 creative teams and independent authors from 15 regions of our country.
At the beginning of the event the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC) Serhiy Bubka addressed the guests of the festival. He congratulated the guests on the professional holiday and underlined their contribution into sport advancement. He also expressed his gratitude to Mykola Kravchenko, the former chairman of the Luhansk branch of the NOC of Ukraine, Ihor Malynskyi, the chairman of the Kyiv regional branch of the NOC, who initiated this competition. As the President of the NOC pointed out, the journalists would have lots of work in the coming year, which would be the Year of the Olympic Games.
“I am sure that sport should constantly be on television screens, as it is information support, coverage of Olympic competitions and sports events, presence of sports news on TV screens, as it contributes to promoting a healthy lifestyle and up-bringing of a healthy Ukrainian nation. Ukraine is a big sports country that has to love sports, play sports and be healthy! “, – said Serhiy Bubka.
National Transport University was among the winners of the competition “World of Sport” in the nomination “For the best coverage of sports life in the region” and it received the 1st place award and an original statuette and certificates from the NOC of Ukraine.
The event was attended by famous Olympians: Nataliia Dobrynska, Oleksandr Abramenko, Olena Govorova, Valeriі Andriytsev, Yulia Prokopchuk, Fedir Lashchonov, and leading television journalists, specialists in the field and others.
