She is responsible for organizing and planning the educational process for students majoring in Finance, Banking, and Insurance, Accounting and Taxation (educational programs: Accounting and Taxation, Digital Technologies in Accounting), Tourism (educational programs: Tourism, International Tourism). The history of the faculty reaches back for almost five decades. It began on May 19, 1965, when according to the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Education, the Faculty of Engineering and Economics was created in Kiev Automobile and Highway Institute (KAHI). In 1984 this faculty was renamed into the Faculty of Economics and Road Transport Maintenance, in 1993 – the Faculty of Transport Management, and in July 2006 – the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law. In April 2016, as a result of the reorganization of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law two new faculties were created: the Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism and the Faculty of Economics and Law.
The faculty trains students majoring in Management, Marketing, Tourism, Finance, Banking and Insurance, Accounting and Audit on the basis of existing regulatory and guiding documents: the Laws of Ukraine «On Education» (№ 1060-XII as of 23.05 .1991), «On Higher Education» (№1556-VII as of 07.01.2014) «On Scientific and Technical Activity» (№848-VIII as of 26.11.2015), Orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regulating the activities in the sphere of education in Ukraine, the regulations and principles of international law in effect in Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Charter of National Transport University.
Six departments provide the educational process of the faculty.
Department of Management– the Head of the Department is Lozhachevska Olena Mykhailivna, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor. Her research interests involve transport management, functioning and development of international transport in the global economy, integration and globalization of transport systems and infrastructure.
Department of Transport Law and Logistics – the Head of the Department is Vorkut Tetiana Anatoliivna, Doctor of Science in Engineering, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine with the ‘Excellence in Education of Ukraine’ award. She is the author of about 150 academic and teaching and guiding works, including monographs and textbooks. Her research interests involve the theory of transport processes and systems, logistics, supply chain management, investments efficiency assessment.
Department of Finance, Accounting and Audit – the Head of the Department is Bazyliuk Atonina Vasylivna, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor. She has the Excellence in Education of Ukraine award, the Diploma of Merit of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She is the author of over 100 academic, teaching and guiding works. She worked in the Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine for approximately 20 years. Her research interests cover pricing, shadow economy development conditions and negotiation methods, methods of social protection of population and basics of labor value formation.
Department of Tourism – the Head of the Department is Tsypko Victoriia Vitaliivna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department. She was awarded the Diploma of Merit of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as well as the gratitude of Calypso Tour travel company. She is the author and co-author of more than 150 academic, teaching and guiding works. Her research interests involve tourism industry and training professionals in tourism.
Department of Foreign Languages – the Acting Head of the Department of Foreign Languages is Dubrova Oksana Mykolaivna, Associate Professor, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department. Doctoral Student, Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. She is the author of about 62 academic, teaching and guiding works. Her research interests involve foreign language teaching techniques (English); problems of professional foreign language training in a technical university; English syntax – monopredicative polypropositional syntactic structures; public administration – intellectual capital development in the sphere of higher/university education in Ukraine under the conditions of European integration.
Among the lecturers of the faculty there are 10 professors, including 7 Doctors of Science; 57 Associate Professors, 28 Senior Lecturers and 46 Assistant Lecturers, most of which hold the academic title of PhD.
Since 1965, the administering departments of the faculty have trained and graduated more than 20,000 professionals.
About 1200 students are studying at the faculty now.

Presentation of the Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism of National Transport Universitу
Research work of the faculty has always been focused on the most acute aspects of the economic development and management of the transport sector. In recent years, this work aims to assess the financial firmness of motor transport enterprises in market conditions. The research has been conducted on the following issues: «Marketing Research of Transport Services Market», «Operational and Ecological Aspects of City Passenger Transport Management»,«Management Supply Chains of Perishable food»,«Theoretical and Legal Basis for the Protection of Women’s Rights»,«Financial and Analytical Support of Innovative Activity of Road Transport Enterprises in the Context of Digital Transformation»,«Development of Tourism in the Context of Globalization», «Current Issues of Vocational Training in Technical University: Traditions and Innovations» The researchers have studied theoretical, methodological, and practical recommendations for marketing research of transport services market; operational and ecological aspects of city passenger transport management; improvements in management supply chains of perishable food; development of conceptual model of turnover of economic motor transport enterprises activity and its components identification; problems and prospects of socio-economic development of tourism in the context of globalization.
There is a Thesis Committee for presentation of PhD and Doctor of Science theses in 05.13.22- Project and Program Management and 08.00.04- Economics and Business Administration at the faculty. 87 dissertations have been defended, with 61 theses having been defended by the University staff members.
Great attention is paid to how to attract young people to research work. Each year the faculty holds scientific and technical conferences for professors and students, in which PhD candidates, post-graduate students and university students are proactively involved. The best students are delegated to participate in regional and national conferences and competitions.
The Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism maintains close ties with transport firms. Agreements have been concluded and cooperation programmes have been developed with UkrAVTO Corporation, AIS Corporation, NIKO, Eurocar, Kyivpastrans Public Utility Company and UTICO.
All departments of the faculty have their branches at production sites where students can have practical training, internships and defend their graduation or Master’s thesis.

Department of Tourism has its branch at Tviy Tur travel agency, Co.Ltd. IJ Travel, Co.Ltd. Kraevyd, Co.Ltd. Suputnyk, Svit UA.
There is a faculty laboratory with facilities for hotel and restaurant servicing that enable students to have practical training and, in addition, an agreement with Pirohovo open-air museum has been signed.
The Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism maintains international liaisons with the following higher education institutions: Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kyiv National Economics University, State University of Infrastructure and Technologies, Central Ukrainian National Technical University Chernihiv Polytechnic, State Trade Economics University, Polissia National University and others.
For many years, the faculty has been maintaining close ties with Zilina (Slovakia) Institute of Transport and Communications concerning the exchange of students.
The Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism is enthusiastically involved in the international cooperation. The faculty has been working closely with the TEMPUS programs approved by the European Commission with Padeborn University (Germany), since 2006. Among West-European partners within international cooperation are: Vienna University of Economics; Matej Bel University (Banska Bystrica, Slovenia); European Academy (Bozen, Italy); Academy of Professional Education (Ravensburg, Germany).
International cooperation was conceived within TEMPUS 3 program, where 2 projects were completed: “Network Development of Training Courses in Transport and Logistic Management in Ukraine – VETLOG” and Environmental Management for Ukraine – UMRU; the project “Network of E-Learning Training in Tourism (Ukraine and Georgia) – WeNet” has been finished according to the TEMPUS IV programme.
There are a lot of advantages in TEMPUS projects participating: the university and its staff have gained European experience and completed internships, NTU has established a close connection with the renowned European universities and signed cooperation agreements.
Within the international cooperation framework National Transport University has signed agreements with the following universities of Georgia: Batumi State Maritime Academy (Batumi); Georgian Aviation University (Tbilisi); Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi); Kutaisi University of Law and Economics (Kutaisi). Also, a cooperation agreement with Matej Bel University (Banska Bystrica, Slovenia) has been signed.
According to the National Transport University development strategy, a very important aspect of international cooperation is internationalization of education process by developing of international mobility of the academic staff and students. National Transport University has been participating in the Erasmus+ according to the field of study KA1 “Academic mobility”. During 2016-2022 the agreements with the universities of Spain, Poland, Romania, Finland, Turkey, Croatia, Latvia and Estonia have been signed.
Student government bodies are functioning extensively at the faculty. Different events are organized and held annually to celebrate the Language and Literacy Day in Ukraine, the Faculty Day. In addition, Freshman Debut Competition has been launched.
