In 2015–2017 the work as a part of the state budget theme №38 “Emergency modes computer forecasting and prevention during directional and horizontal wells drilling at the design and penetration stages” was carried out at the department. The aim of the project was to create mathematic models and computer software for modelling of drill string running technological operations as well as drilling operations for emergency modes forecasting and further prevention at the design and penetration stages in directional and horizontal oil and gas wells of slate rock and marine areas.
In 2016–2018 the work as a part of the state budget theme №42 “Scientific basis of thermomechanical processes forecasting in multi-layer area (on the example of road surface to assess the resources of its durability improvement” was carried out.
In years 2019-2020 the work as a part of the state budget theme №53 “Mathematic modelling of stress-strain conditions of road wear with temperature seams and cracks” was carried out.
The work as a part of the state budget theme №60 “Researching the incompatibility impact of thermomechanical parameters of materials used in road and bridge surface for their thermo durability” is being carried out in 2022-2023.
Teachers of the department encourage students who take part in scientific conferences held in University to carry out research projects. In their scientific work the department members maintain close relations with the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – the Institute of Mathematics, the Institute of Mechanics, the Institute of Cybernetic and special departments of other universities.
