Biography
Oleksandr Ivanovych Bulakh was born in Kyiv on September 21, 1952.
In 1969, after finishing secondary school he entered Kyiv Automobile and Highway Institute and graduated with a degree in highway engineering.
Since 1973, he has been working at NTU.
From 1977 to 1980, Oleksandr Bulakh did a post graduate course.
In 1977, he headed the laboratory of the Department of Highway Construction and Maintenance of Kyiv Automobile and Highway Institute.
In 1988, he was in charge of Industrial Training at the university as well as a senior lecturer of the Department of Highway Construction and Maintenance.
In 1999, Oleksandr Bulakh defended his Candidate of Science dissertation. In 2000, he was elected Corresponding Member of the Transport Academy of Science of Ukraine.
In 1995, he was appointed Vice-Rector for Administrative Work, in 2000: Vice-Rector for Social Development and Foreign Relations and in 2003:Vice-Rector for Social and Economic Development.
His key research interests include highway maintenance and traffic safety.
