Education for Balanced Development Forum

«We have everything active youth needs: knowledge, experience, opportunities and success. It is fun, interesting and informative to be with us. National Transport University is our educational home.» These were the greeting words of ecology students, lecturers and staff members of the Department of Ecology and Safety of Vital Functions of the Faculty of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering of National Transport University to the visitors of the third all-Ukrainian forum «Education for Balanced Development». The plenary session ‘The strategy of sustainable development of Ukraine for the period till 2030: objectives of education for its realization’ was held on April, 12th-13th , 2017 in the National Ecological and Naturalistic Youth Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Kyiv.

To present the University’s activities our activists prepared an informational stand for Education for Balanced Development Exhibition. This stand displayed materials of international research and practical conferences on ecological issues with participation of NTU ecologists and multi-authored papers of university scientists.  The paper, entitled ‘Higher Education of Ukraine: Risks, Hopes and Success’ was also presented.

The forum participants and visitors took an interest in the materials of the National Transport University Bulletin of scientific and technical papers as well as in implementation of international projects, study guides for students and materials of the Avtodorozhnyk newspaper.

Special attention was drawn to the information posters (photo reports) of environmental project activities organized for students majoring in Ecology.
